As a tribute brand to the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the main commercial associations in New Delhi have requested a complete market closure on April 25. The Confederation of all merchants in India (CAIT) said that this call is fully supported and has appealed to all Delhi merchants to voluntarily maintain their closed establishments and observe the Bandh peacefully.

The general secretary of Cait and MP of Chandni Chowk, Shri Praveen Khandelwal, declared that Bandh is not a protest but a symbol of national tribute and solidarity. “We appeal to all merchants to take the necessary precautionary measures in their respective markets and ensure that the band is observed peacefully without adverse incidents,” he added.

Cait has also asked the Police and the administrative authorities of Delhi to maintain the duration of the law and order in the band and guarantee a peaceful environment in all markets.

In addition, he has appealed to all commercial associations throughout the country to completely stop all import and export trade with Pakistan and be united with the government in the interest of national security.
