President Donald Trump said Friday that Ukraine and Russia “are very close to an agreement” after a day of productive conversations.

Trump taught Truth Social just after landing in Rome to share the details and suggest a meeting between the main Russian and Ukrainian officials.

“I just landed in Rome. One day in conversations and meetings with Russia and Ukraine. They are very close to an agreement, and the two parties should now meet, at very high levels, to” finish it, “Trump wrote.” Most of the main points are agreed. “

“Stop the bloodshed, now. We will be where necessary to help facilitate the end of this cruel war and sensors!” Hey added.

Trump said earlier on the day he would meet with world leaders.

“We will meet with many foreign leaders. They want to meet,” Trump said. “The trade agreements are going very well. I think Russia and Ukraine, I think they come, we hope, very fragile. And I will, I think, go very well. We will see what happens.”

The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, will also attend the funeral of the late Pontiff, thought it is not clear if he and Trump plan to speak.

Russian President Vladimir Putin with the special envoy of the United States to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, on Friday. Witkoff has played a key role in diplomatic negotiations and peace efforts.

Multiple obstacles arose around peace conversations this week. On Thursday, Russia shot Kyiv, killing 12 and wounding about 90 more. On Friday, a Russian general was killed in an explosion in a suburb of Moscow. And although no one has claimed the answer, the Kremlin has aggression in the Ukraine battery of the attack.
