The former NFL kicker Jay Feely will become a former CBS analyst, since he announces his attempt to become the newest member of Congress.

Feely informed ESPN on Tuesday of his intention to run for the United States House of Representatives in the Fifth District of the Arizona Congress during the mid -period elections of 2026. Fely has already presented a statement of interest before the Secretary of State of Arizona, a necessary step before launching a political campaign.

“I am excited by This next chapter of my life“Fley told ESPN.” I think I feel that God calls me by pressing me in the service, and that is really what I think is, it is the civil service. I do not believe that we have enough politicians who enter the political position not for self -service measures and enter the political position and not because it is not a career, and that is what I believe.

“I think it is largely a civil service.”

The former 48 -year -old cardinal will try to win vacancies from the seats of the representative Andy Biggs, who intends to run for Governor of Arizona in 2026.

Feely enjoyed an NFL race, kicking for six teams about 14 years, but perhaps the most important thing, had a particularly productive career of four years with the cardinals towards the end of their career.

Since his retirement in 2014, Feely has worked as an NFL analyst for CBS.
