The American Association of Medicine and Aesthetic Surgery (AAAMS) announced the launch of its facial aesthetic tutoring program, designed to close the gap between certification and independent practice for aesthetic medicine professionals.
Located in the AAAMS Beverly Hills facilities, the program sacrifices the certified injectors the opportunity to treat their own customers under expert supervision while obtaining income through an income exchange model.
“We have identified a significant challenge in the aesthetic medicine industry: the difficult transition of training in the classroom to the practice of the real world,” says Sam Assassa, MD, president of AAAMS, in a statement. “Our tutoring program provides the perfect solution by offering a supervised clinical experience in an avant -garde installation, which allows professionals to generate trust and customers without substantial initial investment that practices are generally required.”
The AAAMS tutoring program presents several components:
- Income exchange model: participants maintain 50% of their income per treatment after covering product costs.
- Supervision of the medical director on the site: all treatments performed under expert guidance.
- Fully equipped treatment rooms: Beverly Hills installation with all the necessary equipment provided.
- Negligence insurance: coverage included for all supervised activities.
- Administrative Support Hand key: programming, patient coordination and operational assistance included.
The program is specifically designed for registered nurses, practicing nurses, medical assistants and MDS that have completed the certification in botox and dermal fillings through AAAMS or other accredited training entity.
For a monthly rate or $ 500, participants receive eight hours of supervised training per month, with additional hours available at $ 150 per hour.
“The tutoring program helped me to transition from learning in the classroom to treat customers on my own,” says Jessica M, RN, an early participant in the program, in a statement. “Dr. Assassa’s guide was invaluable, and the ability to use AAAMS treatment rooms was a game change to launch my aesthetic career.”
Registration is limited. AAAMS is currently acceptance requests, with priority given to recent AAMS certification graduates.
