The security forces have thrown a human hunt after the gunmen opened fire against the tourists and killed 26 people in the attack of Kashmir sausage administered by the Indian against civilians in almost a quarter of a century.

All those killed in Tuesday’s attack were listed as residents of India, with the exception of a Nepal man.

A statement issued on behalf of the Resistance Front (TRF), which is believed to be a branch of the Lashkar-E-Taiba, based in Pakistan, the responsibility of the attack was attributed.

The statement linked attacks with the thousands of residence permits delivered to Indian citizens, which allowed them to establish themselves in Kashmir. Al Jazeera could not independently confirm the authenticity of the statements.

Jammu and Kashmir’s prime minister, Omar Abdullah, said the attack had been “much larger than anything we have seen directed to civilians” in recent years.

The bodies of the murdered were taken to Srinagar for an ambulance fleet on Wednesday when military helicopters shot over, searching the wooded mountain flanks of the attackers.

“This attack against our visitors is an abomination,” Abdullah said in a statement.

The murders led to the global conviction.

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, called Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sacrifice “full support to India to bring the perpetrators of this atrocious attack before justice.”

China, who neighbor the problematic region, sacrificed its “sincere sympathies” to the families of the murdered.

The authorities in recent years have promoted the mountainous region as a holiday destination for the winter of ski duration and to escape the summer heat in other parts of India.

Around 3.5 million tourists visited Cashmiro last year, mostly national visitors.
