An alleged member of the Islamic State is questioned in Iraq after that country’s officials accused him of playing a role in inciting the mortal New Year’s Day Terrorist attack in New Orleans.

Den Jabbar flew the flag of Isis in black and white on the back of the truck when he carried out the attack, but Isis has never officially touched the responsibility of the attack.
American officials told CBS News that FBI’s investigation into the attack is ongoing.
“While we continually work with our law partners, both in the United States and in International, according to the information to date, we continue to believe that Shamsud Din-Jabbar acted only to carry out the attack on Bourbon Street,” said the FBI on Tuesday.
The Iraqi authorities issued a statement on April 27, saying that the National Center for International Judicial Cooperation had received a request from the United States to help in its investigation of the New Orleans terrorist attack. The statement said it was discovered that the suspect was a member of the ISIS Foreign Operations Office.
Den Jabbar rented a Ford Blanca truck in Houston and led New Orleans to carry out the attack, US authorities said. After putting his truck in a crowd in the early hours of January 1, he died in a shooting with the police.
Before carrying out the attack, he published videos on social networks that indicated that he was inspired by ISIS and expressed the desire to kill.
