Soon, the seven hills of Tirumala will be more picturesque and ecological, thanks to the decision of the Tirumala Tumupati Devasthanam (TTD) Board to increase green coverage in the hills.
According to the instructions of the Main Minister N Chandababu Naidu, the Board has decided to increase the green cover in the Tirumal hills of 68.14 percent existing to 80 percent through the forest department, J Shyamala Rao said Tuesday, TTD Sainti TTD.
The Board will release ₹ 4 million rupees for the State Forest Department gradually, starting with ₹ 1.74 million rupees in the current financial year.
The Board has also decided to invite financial proposals and architecture consultants to prepare a comprehensive master plan for the development of temples in Tuchanoor, Amavati, Narayananavanam, Kapilatheertham and Vontimetta.
In view of the increase in the number of devotees visiting Akashaganga and Papvinaanam, a plan would be formulated to further improve spritual, environmental and infrastructural facilities, said the emergency department.
