Shriram Finance revises FD rates from May 2; senior citizens to earn 0.50% extra

Shiram Finance LTD has announced a review in interest rates in fixed deposits (FDS), as of May 2, 2025. The revised rates will be applied to new deposits and renovations of up to ₹ 10 million rupees.

According to the updated structure, interest rates will vary different holdings and types of deposits, with annual yields ranging from 7.65% to 9.93%. Notable, the highest effective yield of 9.93% is available in cumulative deposits of 60 portions, offering an expiration value of ₹ 7,482 for an investment of ₹ 5000, according to a statement.

Additional benefits are offered to specific investor groups. People over 60 years of age or older will receive an additional interest of 0.50% per year at the time of deposit or renewal. Depositing women will gain an additional interest of 0.10% per year. In addition, all renewed deposits will be eligible for an additional interest or 0.25% per year.

Fixed deposits are classified “[ICRA]AA+ (stable) “by ICRA and” IND AA+/STABLE “for the qualifications and investigation of India, indicating a strong solvency.
