Nafed procures 2.62 lakh tonnes of tur, 10,385 tonnes of gram at MSP till April 20

The National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Marketing of India LTD (NAFED) has acquired more than 2.62 Lakh tons of Tur (Arhar) at the minimum support price of ₹ 7.550 per quintal until April 20 in the Marketing season Kharif 2024-25 under the price support scheme.

More than 1.25 Lakh tons or Tur have been bought in Karnataka, followed by 48,865 tons in Gujarat. In Andhra Pradesh, 44,107 tons of Tur have been acquired in MSP, while in Maharashtra the amount bought was 36,257 tons. In Telangana, around 8,010 tons have been acquired; While in Uttar Pradesh, around 14.60 tons have been bought.

A total of 1.76 Lakh Tons or Moong has been obtained the Kharif 2024 pss scheme in MSP or ₹ 8,682 per quintal. Rajasthan led the list of states where 1,45,887 tons were acquired, followed by Karnataka at 26,725 tons, Haryana at 2,664 tons and telangana 990 tons. Around 63.25 tons were acquired in Maharashtra, while 144.25 tons or Moong were acquired in Gujarat.

Around 35.70 tons or Urad were obtained from Rajasthan during the Kharif 24 pss in MSP or ₹ 7,400 per quintal.

Rabi pss purchases

In the season of Rabi 2025 pricing schemes (PSS), Nafed has acquired a total of approximately 10,385 tons or grams to MSP or ₹ 5,650 per quintal. Some 5,792 tons have been acquired in Telangana and 3,718 tons in Madhya Pradesh. In Rajasthan, Nafed has acquired 545 tons, while in Andhra 183 tons and Maharasthra 145.90 tons.

Similarly, 51,155 tons or masoor have been acquired in the MSP or ₹ 6,700 per quintal of the Rabi acquisition season in progress. Of this, 49,795 tons have been acquired in Madhya Pradesh and 1,360 tons in Uttar Pradesh. Rabi Moong or 4,417 tons have been acquired in Andhra Pradesh.
