Earnings Preview: HUL’s Q4 topline growth seen muted on weak urban demand

It is considered that the income of the manufacturer of rapid consumer goods (FMCG) Hindustan Unilever (Hul) have increased by a lukewarm 2 percent year -on -year in the back of the weak urban demand and the slow rural recovery in cash of the quarter that ended on March 31.

According to analysts, inflation in raw materials continued to press the duration of margins in the quarter, partly the high price of palm oil.

Rural perspective

“There has been a gradual recovery in rural demand, while the urban market remained under pressure due to the weak salary growth.
