Reliance Industries said that its Board of Directors, on the recommendation of the Human Resources, Nomination and Remuneration Committee, considered and appointed Anant Ambani, a non -executive director of the company as a full time director appointed as Executive Director for a period of five years with effect as of May 1.
This is a significant movement towards the elevation of the youngest Ambani rod and another step in the general succession plan in the conglomerate.
