Build the brand.
That was the mission of the new Jet coach, Aaron Glenn, in his first NFL draft training the team. At the end of Saturday 3, he said he felt they succeeded.
“I think the thing is not. 1 is that we really have guys who fit the mark of who we are going to be,” said Glenn. “That was something we are talking about even starting in the free agency to the draft. We are very intentional about the boys, we want to be part of this organization. It would say the same when it comes to coaches too. Everyone fit. We want to continue that trend because once you do, the core of each person is the same. We could see us different.
What is that brand?
“Hard, physical, violent, aggressive, a resistant attitude,” said Glenn. “If we continually have types like that, you will begin to see the brand appear on the grass.”
Time will say if the Jets took players who may live up to Glenn’s hopes and change to the jets of perennial losers to a playoff team.
The Jets took seven players in this NFL draft, including four on Saturday.
On day 3, they selected the Open Receptor of Georgia, Arian Smith and the security of Alabama, Malachi Moore, in the fourth round and then two Miami players in the fifth round, the supporter Francisco Mauigaa and the border corridor Tyler Baron.
Those four players joined the selections of the first two days: Tackle Armand Membou, the closed wing Mason Taylor and the corner Azareeye’h Thomas.

Players’ tasks can provide some depth for jets. Glenn cited his experience as a defensive coordinator of the Lions last season, while they had many injuries as an example of noving types that can be below in the depth table.
“You need good quality depth on your team,” Glenn said. “I will pass the injury error last year. If something happens to any of our headlines, these boys can enter and play for us.”
The jets were offended first on Saturday before taking defense for the rest of the day. Smith ran 4.36 in the 40 -yard race and can remove the top of the defenses. His main criticism was that he had 10 drops last year for Bulldogs, but both Glenn and General Manager Darren Mougey said the jets feel that he is willing and capable of improving in that area.
The Jets then made the first of two trades on Saturday, sending a selection of fifth round (145) and a selection of sixth round (207) to the Eagles in exchange for a fourth round selection (130), where Moore play.
Moore was a four -year opener for Alabama, first in the “star” position where it was a nickel corner and then last year a security. He was a captain of the crimson tide team.
He said that Alabama’s former coach Nick Saban advised him to change positions last year to show his versatility to NFL teams.

“A fast, physical and implacable player who will compete for his tail during the time that each practice requires,” said Moore describing himself. “Someone who is well prepared and is an intrepid competitor.”
Glenn said he spoke with the security of the Leones Brian Branch, who played in Alabama with Moore, before the draft.
“The first thing that came out of his mouth was” Dawg, “said Glenn.” When you hear that, that excites you with the player. So, the opportunity to see it on the tape and see exactly how it operates, we have ‘T’. I am excited with that player.
The Jets then Tok Mauigaa in the fifth round, which can be an immediate taxpayer in special equipment and can support Quincy Williams and Jamien Sherwood. Mougey made another movement in the fifth round, exchanging a selection of sixth round (186) and a selection of Fiffh 2026 Round to the Ravens in exchange for a fifth round selection (176) and a selection of sixth round of 2026. They took Baron to 176. Baron began their career in Tennessee and transferred to Miami. The jets feel that it can develop as a passenger runner under their training.
