The Superior Court of Madras, on Wednesday, ordered a special court in the district of Vellore that framed the charges in accordance with the law against the Secretary General of DMK and the Minister of Water Resources of Tamil Nadu, Duraimurugan, and his relatives in a case of disproportionate wealth.
Judge P Velmurugan gave the directive while allowing the review requests presented by the Directorate of Surveillance and Anti -Corruption (DVAC), challenging an order of a special court in Velore Duraimurugan and his relatives of the case.
The judge since the check period in this case was between 1996 and 2001, the Special Court was ordered to disfine the case six months making the trial on a day -to -day basis.
The case of the Prosecutor’s Office was that Duraimurugan had accumulated wealth for a sum of ₹ 3.92 million rupees in his name and in the names of his relatives, disproportionate with his well -known sources of income when it is the portion of the department of heroes between 1996.
On February 23, 2007, the Special Court in Velore scaled Duroimurugan, his wife D Santhakumari, his brother Durai Singeram, his son DM Kathir Anand, now Velore Lok Sabha MP and his daughter -in -law K Sangaetha prevention of the act of corruption.
Challenging this order, the DVAC presented the current review requests in March 2012. Allowing the same, Judge Velmurugan gave the previous directives.
