S. South Korea Hynix surpassed quarterly income and operational profits, with the demand for their high -band -width memory offers used in generative AI chips on Thursday that dates back to a soaking.
Here are the results of the first SK Hynix Versus LSEG Smartstimates Quarter:
- Revenue: 17.64 billion won ($ 12.36 billion) compared to 17.26 billion wones
- Operating benefit: 7.44 billion won compared to 6.62 billion wones
The income increased approximately 42% in the quarter of March compared to the same period of the previous year, while the operational profits increased by 158%, year after year.
In a quarterly base, income fell 11%, while operational profits fell 8% of a higher record in the quarter of December.
In its gains launch, SK Hynix said their profits demonstrated the impact of AI on the memory market, as well as the company’s leadership position.
SK Hynix has benefited from a boom in artificial intelligence servers as a key provider of random access dynamic memory: a type of semiconductor memory used to store data and program code that can be found on PC, work stations and servers.
SK Hynix has been an HBM leader as a key provider for clients such as the AI Darling Nvidia of the AI of the United States. Micron Technology and Samsung Electronics are the other players in space.
A Counterpoint Research report earlier this month said SK Hynix had seized 70% of the HBM market for income participation.
