Back in January, Glossier announced that Beyoncé was wearing a brand new, top-secret product on the Grammys red carpet sending make-up fans into a frenzy guessing what it could be.
Fast forward to another awards ceremony, the Oscars, and the Insta-famous beauty brand confirmed that all our suspicions were correct by using the event to launch its latest innovation – Lidstar, it’s first ever eyeshadow.
Worn by several celebrities including Allison Janney, Greta Gerwig, Tracee Ellis Ross, Maya Rudolph and Salma Hayek, it has already been given the A-list seal of approval and we can confirm that the hype is very much deserved.
Available in six different shades ranging from an opalescent cream (Moon), baby pink (Slip) and soft smoky lavender (Lily) to three deeper and more intense colours like cool red copper (Cub), smoky taupe (Fawn) and golden olive (Herb).
A shimmery cream eyeshadow, whichever colour you choose Lidstar applies super-easily with a doe foot applicator out of packaging that resembles a science test tube.
And, while you can blend it in using a fluffy brush, it’s just as easy to swipe straight onto the lids and smudge around with your fingers.
The formula itself is beautifully glowy and is made with ultra-fine reflective pearls to give the pigment a subtle sheen. Even better, it lasts an impressive 12 hours and, unlike other glossy formulas, doesn’t crease.
