Bri Ellis of Arkansas is the best hitter in college softball, drawing comparisons to Barry Bonds

No pitcher in the University softball wants to launch Br ellis. Given the choice, most players who throw from the circle prefer to walk it intentionally. And if real pitchers have to launch the man with first senior base for Arkansas, they do not want to flirt with the Strike area.

Because Ellis’s bat cannon meets the yellow ball of the highlight that is coming on his way, he will try to send it to the moon.

Ellis is the active leader of the NCAA in homers, throwing 74 lunar shots in 573 shifts in the race. That means that Ellis is supporting a Dinger in every 7.74 spin to bat for her career.

In comparison, Barry Bonds-Usted can know him as the guy accused of taking steroids, but according to the books he is the home run of the MLB, King-Was hit a four bagger in every 12.92 shifts to his durable bat its decorated career of 22 years.

Like Ellis, the pitchers feared ties. They never wanted to throw it and they would rarely do it. But when Bonds saw a launch in his area, he would crush him more or not.

That is what Ellis did against Georgia in the SEC tournament last week. The Bulldogs had accompanied her in each of her shifts to the previous bat and had thrown a strike all day. But with the bases loaded at the bottom of the seventh inning, Ellis finally saw a launch in which he could connect.

But, of course, Ellis made more to make contact. He drove the ball over the left garden fence for a home run, giving Arkansas the victory. The Ellis bomb also made it the head of the Arkansas season records for homers and ranges.

The similarities between Bonds and Ellis are equally easier to draw when the numbers focus on what he is doing this season and what he did in 2001, in which he won the MVP of the National League.

Arkansas even made a graph for it:

Originally from Houston, Texas, Ellis was appointed player of the year of the SEC and is a strong candidate for the National Player of the Year award. The second national in home runs this season (26), fourth on average batting (.475), seventh in RBI (72) and second on walks with 58.

She also occupies the first place in the country in percentage based with a mark of .649. The best bonds they had in his career were .609 in 2004. Ellis is the only player in the Power 4 this season with a percentage based on more than .600.

One more statistic: Ellis has the best percentage of slugging based on softball this season in 1,838, which is better than any brand than Bonds, Hank Aaron or Babe Ruth have ever presented in a single MLB season.

She puts herself on the basis and hits Jacks. Ellis has fans of the sport Moneyball and people who only the long ball. She will be an obligatory observation in the NCAA softball tournament, where Arkansas sowed fourth and opens the postseason game against Saint Louis on Friday at 6:30 pm et in ESPN+.
