Stearns said he receives previous views of tickets sold before a house and made “double taking” in some of the numbers that were presented, especially for April.

Stearns gave Pete Alonso great praise when asked about the torrid start of the first baseman.
Alonso, who returned to the METS in January with a two -year contract for a value of $ 54 million after prolonged negotiations, entered the day with an OPS of 1,171.
“What Pete is doing is a start as good as you can imagine for any human,” Stearns said. “This is quite impressive. It is locked up. The control of its area is incredible at this time. It is hitting everything hard. I have not been very impressed.”
