The first round of the NFL 2025 draft was as agitated as people expected. An exchange shook the NFL within the first five, two QB were (he thought he did not expect) and the linen race was hot and heavy. However, some teams stood out above the rest, making really pleasant movements that instantly increase the roof of their team. Here are my favorite elections of Round 1 of the NFL draft.

Baltimore Ravens chooses Georgia S Malaki Starks at age 27

Starks was one of the five best players for me in this process, a versatile guy who could play on the ceiling or in the slot and be shocking in defense. However, a “slow” time of 40 (ran a 4.50) and a relatively inactivated year for the Bulldogs saw him fall before the only team that could use the best. Ravens can interpret it in Nickel or Safety, but I think that if the Ravens can move Kyle Hamilton to Nickel and Starks can play deep security role, a fantastic place for him in a defense that the player could impact.

San Francisco 49ers chooses Georgia Edge Mykel Williams at 11

Mykel Williams was born to play for a defense of Robert Saleh. Williams has a high floor for a race defense that became absolutely last season last season last season. His pass pass still comes and comes with some rigidity, but he is a powerful passes corridor that has a lot of advantage as a passes runner. Putting it in San Francisco with that nucleus and Kris Kocurek as its position coach could become an incredible choice.

Minnesota Vikings chooses Ohio State Og Donovan Jackson at 24

The Vikings have invested a lot in their offensive line this low season, and Jackson seems to be the culmination here. I thought he was one of the best guards of this class and better than Tyler Booker, and getting it at 24 is a good business for Minnesota. His athletics stands out inside, and can also play with the pinch if necessary. He is a very good player who I think will help raise an offensive line that separated last year.

Cincinnati Bengals chooses Texas A&M Edge Shemar Stewart at 17

I am a great admirer of Shemar Stewart, a monster player who has the potential to be a fantastic player on the limit. Cincinnati needs more presence on the edge in front of Trey Hendrickson, and Stewart has the ability to put the advantage in the race game and push the pocket like a passes corridor. In addition, he is the elite athlete that DC to Golden would love abroad, with a lot of track for growth. The Bengals were a hiteing career defense last season, and Stewart can immediately help them there.

Philadelphia Eagles chooses Jihaad Campbell at age 31

Yes, man, the Eagles keep doing this. I know you have some injuries, but if you are about 100%, Eagles get such a versatile player on the second level. Campbell is a force inside that has a scope as a supporter and instincts to function very well with Zack Baun. With Vic Fangio pulling the strings in that defense, the Eagles finally begin to invest in pounds outside the ball and Yhad Campbell is a perfect adjustment.
