Interior Minister Mazzin Fraya says that all group activities will be prohibited and their confiscated assets.

Jordan has imposed a general ban on Muslim brother Hood, the most vocal opposition group in the country, after it was discovered that the group members were linked to a sabotage plot, said Interior Minister Minzin Fraya.

Police surrounded the holiday headquarters on Wednesday and was looking for it.

Fraya said that all group activities would be prohibited and that anyone promotes their ideology would be responsible for law.

The prohibition includes publishing anything in the group and the closure and confiscation of all its offices and properties, Hey added.

There were no immediate comments from the group, which has operated legal in Jordan for decades and has broad base support in the main urban centers and boxes throughout the country.

The Islamic Action Front, a political party linked to the Regional Group, won most of the seats in parliamentary elections last year in the context of mass protests against Israel about its war in Gaza.

Jordan prohibited the Muslim brother Hood for a decade ago, but the officer authorized a group of splinters and continued tolerating the Islamic Action Front while restricting some of his activities. It was not clear immediately how far the last prohibition would come.

“He has been demonstrating that the group members operate in the dark and participate in activities that could destabilize the country,” said the Interior Ministry in a statement on Wednesday. “The members of the dissolved Muslim Brotherhood have manipulated national security and unity, and interrupted public security and order.”

He said that a son of one of the group’s leaders joined others when trying to manufacture and test explosives to be used against security forces, without providing names or more details.

Last week, Jordan said he had arrested 16 people accused of manufacturing short -range missiles, possessing explosives and automatic weapons, hiring a missile ready to use and recruit people illegally.

The government said the defendant belonged to what he called “groups without a license”, referring to the Muslim Brotherhood. The group denied the accusations and said he was committed to Jordan’s security.

Jordan also attributed a frustrated plot in 2024 to the members of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan.

The group members have directed some of the largest protests in the region against the Israel War against Gaza. The group’s opponents say that the protests allowed them to increase their popularity. Around the last two years, Jordan has been squeezing the restrictions in the group, prohibiting some of his activities and arrested vocal anti -government dissidents.

International rights groups say that in the last four years, the Jordanian authorities have intensified the persecution and harassment of political opponents and citizens who use a series of laws to silence critical voices. The Jordanian government says that he tolerates the public discourse that does not encourage violence.

The Muslim Brotherhood settled in Egypt almost a century ago and has branches worldwide. Its leaders say it resigned from violence decades ago and seeks the Islamic government through elections and other peaceful media. Critics, including autocratic governments throughout the region, see it as a threat.
