Travis Kelce is addressing if he was a bit too hands-on with security last weekend in New York City when out with his purported girlfriend Taylor Swift.
At the “Saturday Night Live” after-party, Swift was seen on camera shoving a security guard to allow him to open a car door. The superstar tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs did this. Swift introduced Ice Spice, the musical guest, on the broadcast, and Kelce made a brief appearance.
In the episode of “New Heights” that he co-hosts on Wednesday with his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, the Super Bowl champion was asked if he had encountered any “pushback” from the on-stand security personnel.
“I did not shove him,” stated Travis Kelce. “I informed the gentleman that I was behind him by placing a touch on his back. He probably would have turned around and tased me if I had pushed him.
Jason Kelce retorted, “That sounds like how somebody who has pushed somebody would describe pushing them.”
“You’re absurd,” in response, said Travis Kelce.
I did not shoo them away. Making light of the situation, Jason Kelce remarked, “I just put my hand on them and moved them.”
“Good morning, sir. Excuse me. I must obtain the door. Apologies. I’m following you closely. I do not wish to frighten you. Travis Kelce said in a lighthearted manner, “I know it’s your job to keep crazy people away, and if you just randomly get pushed in the back while standing in front of a door, that could probably be a little alarming.”
He continued by praising the work that security conducted and said that they had not discussed what had happened with him.
He replied, “No, I never got security to say anything about it.” “Let me tell you something, they’re amazing. I adore them. They are decent folks.
Jason Kelce enquired as to whether his brother thought of himself as a security guard while he was with Swift.
“Whenever I go on a date, I always feel like I’m a man in this circumstance. I’m quite defensive. Yes, definitely. You kind of always have that consciousness of yourself, I suppose,” he remarked.
The pop star’s pal Ice Spice, whom Travis Kelce previously hosted “Saturday Night Live” with, said that it was exciting to be back on the program. Kelce and Swift went to support Ice Spice. Swift and Ice Spice worked together on a remix of “Karma” earlier this year. In addition, Travis Kelce stated that he wished to meet Pete Davidson, the host and former cast member.
“Man, I’ll tell you what. Being back there was exhilarating,” he remarked.
